What We Do

Ropin' with Jesus takes the Great Commission seriously. It is based on Mark 16:15:

"Go ye into all the world,

and preach the Gospel to every creature."

This is a command of our Lord Jesus, and is to be obeyed.

Who We Are

This ministry was born in 2002 with the Vacation Bible School at our home church, Bethel Baptist, in Quinque, Virginia. Since then, the Lord has led us into more detail and given us the skits that are described on the services page, two of which involve the children as actors and actresses!

We are (as are all Christians!) a "work in progress". We remain in prayer for this ministry, that the Lord will continue to give us details and activities, and that He will make it fruitful for His glory. Please be in prayer with us that our Lord Jesus will use this ministry in a mighty way to bring the souls of children of all ages to a saving knowledge of Him (Mark 10:14, Matt 18:3)

Our Mission

Ropin' with Jesus endeavors to encourage children of all ages to share the Gospel in obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

The Gospel is the "good news" that Jesus took all our sins upon Himself, and went to the Cross to die in our place. Why did He do that? Because:

1. Every single person, no matter who they are, has sinned against God.

• "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom 10:23)
• "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom 3:10)

2. We cannot get into heaven on our own merits. Being a "good person" will not get you to heaven!

• To God, "all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6)

3. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

• Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."
• "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved"        (Acts 4:12)

4. Having all sinned, we all deserve death (eternity apart from God)

• "For the wages of sin is death"    (Rom 6:23)

5. Jesus (who is God) came to earth to die for our sins, so that those who believe and put their faith in Him can have eternal life

• "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
• "For if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Rom 10:9).

So what are we to do? It's as easy as A,B,C, but you must be sincere, and mean it with all your heart:

A = Agree with God, and Admit that you have sinned before Him. Have a genuine, sincere desire to turn from those ways, follow Jesus, and do right.

B= Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was resurrected by God on the third day.

C= Confess Jesus as not only your Savior, but your Lord. Have a desire to make a new start, and allow Him to be Lord of your life. Let Him take charge of your life!

Tell Him these things (the A,B,C above) in prayer. Ask Him to come into your life as Lord and Savior. If done sincerely, Jesus has a promise for you. In the words of our Lord:

"Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37)

"Thanks be unto God for His

unspeakable Gift."
